Lv Chun (Part 2)

To many people, a town like Lv Chun which only consists of a main road may not be worthy of their time. But this is actually a beautiful place. Most people will head straight to Yuanyang when they want to see rice terraces, but it is not the only place for rice terraces. You can find beautiful rice terraces here too. My teacher brought me to the rice terraces behind her village for a hike. Due to heavy rain for the past few days, there were landslides which cuased the only road leading to the villages within the rice terraces to be blocked. We literally had to be on all fours, just to get to the other side. But the sight was definitely worth all the effort. A pity though, that the cloudy weather meant that the pictures I took could not do justice to the beauty of the place.
I was able to visit a nearby village a few hours before I leave Lv Chun. They called this the "postcard village". One look at the pictures and you will know why. The rice terraces here may not be as grand as those in Yuanyang. But the sight of farmers working hard in the green terraces and kids playing in the fields gave the place an added sense of beauty. The best part about this place is, there was absolutely no tourists (except for us of course!), and we do not have to pay any entrance fees to enjoy the beauty of this countryside! ~wei
